Room smelling damp and cigarette

I reserved 3 rooms for our family, once double and two family rooms, one of the family rooms smelt disgustingly damp and cigarette smells in the bathroom, this issue made us waste 2 hours trying to sort our a new room for us, which resulted in moving our family members to another room for us to use their family room, as they didn't have another family room to accommodate us. Very inconvenient, stressful and made us waste precious time, as we only had one night in Rio before flying back to our respective countries. Very disappointed.

Well located close to the Copacabana beach

We stayed for 4 nights and found that the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and the rooms are clean. The hotel seems very basic when you enter the reception area and there is no bar/lounge area.

Our stay was incredible, the hotel is well located and close by, the staff is outstanding, from Felipe to Ronan and Davi and the food so amazing Alice and Michaela and the chef. What an amazing time. Clean and always on top of all the little details.

Location is excellent and staff very friendly. Noise from the renovation works were at times very disturbing. Also, access to the fitness facilities were not possible, due to renovation works. Although it’s in general good that the hotel is doing renovations, maybe some discount prices should be applied to the customers for supporting those limitations. Some additional improvements should be made. A/C was constantly leaking water in the middle of the room. Water stoped on one Thursday morning exactly when showering. It was highly unpleasant since I was in a rush preparing to leave for an official conference. Also, towels are quite old. Minibar should offer some sugar free drinks. I’m a diabetic and had to go buy at the supermarket, since minibar had only sugary drinks.

Close to Copacabana Beach where the hotel provides chairs and sunshades for guests. Comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff and a great buffet breakfast.
