We arrived for a one night stay before departing on a cruise. The hotel was not as described in the listing on the hotel website. The room, although relatively clean, was not inviting. Amenities mentioned on the website (mini bar, free in room mineral water, kettle minibar with free soft drinks, bottled water) were non-existent. The mini fridge was empty. The bathroom products consisted of two tiny bars of soap, and two small shampoo bottles, one of which appeared to be previously used. The bed had no mattress protector or pad, just one sheet on the mattress and another top sheet with a thin coverlet on top. Attempts to have the front desk staff address our concerns were fruitless. The « manager » was not interested in hearing about complaints. There were many, because numerous other guests had similar issues, as well as not very clean rooms. In fact, after a couple of attempts to have him listen he refused to acknowledge our presence in front of him. The breakfast was less than desirable, and cold, from sitting in the buffet area. Not the usual array of food provided by high end hotels. Having paid €148.50, which is considerably more in our currency (Canada), we expected more. It is beyond me how this « hotel » (it was really more like a motel) is even a Mercure Hotel, let alone an All-Accor hotel. It certainly is not in the category of Novotel, Sofitel, Omni, and the numerous other luxury hotels in the All-ACCOR Group. Unfortunately, the rating system you have does not have negative numbers, which is how the Sunbay Park needs to be placed. Please remove this hotel from the ALL-ACCOR GROUP. It is not worthy of the classification. I booked this hotel because I have an All-ACCOR Loyalty card and felt it would be a lovely place to stay. Needless to say, we we VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We were moved to a room because the shower wouldn’t drain and water was flooding the hallway. The second room shower also didn’t drain but the night desk person said there’s nothing she could do until in the morning and there were no more rooms. My husband complained and said we needed a shower. She put us in 122 which come to find out is on the second floor (3rd if you count floor zero?) The shower stall barely drains but at least fills up, and only one door moves , we asked for maintenance while we were gone all day but it wasn’t fixed. Ask for a mini fridge if you need one. Beds are too firm and two twins pushed together with a crease. Decor needs updating or just fresh pant. Mildew in shower tile. Francesco in restaurant was very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately food wasn’t good and overpriced. The chicken cutlet, fish sticks, and hamburger patty was from my elementary school days. Don’t order the tough steak. French fries are good, salad is good, bread not so much, fried calamari ok. Skip the pricey breakfast unless you like a lot of sweets. Hotel tax sounds little high 12.00 pp/pd what desk clerk said but booking only says 12.00. Beautiful VIEW! Rent car from Europcar +390766502464. Good price friendly people (Maria). I’ll keep the words as brief as possible. Long story short a group of us booked months in advance and upon arrival were told that the hotel was overbooked due to a number of cruise ships having docked nearby. We were given substitute sub standard rooms in a nearby hovel and didn’t have access to amenities. Attached are several photos from the group. We felt we went back in time to a hotel from the 80s which hadn’t had guests since the 50s. Also non existent wifi, no kettle in the room and the constant smell of sewage from the bathroom.

We had a bit if confusion over whether breakfast was included or not. The young lady who worked evenings remember us and insured that our breakfast was included and she took care of the error of the breakfast issue. The location is beautiful, and this was not our first stay with Sunbay.
