Appalling - hotel full of builders dust and noise

I will probably not return to this hotel having previously regarded it as convenient stop when travelling south in France. Should have been closed for refurbishment or clients given discount. Entire ground floor was stripped and main staircase had been dismantled. Notification of major building works notified too late to book elsewhere. Restaurant food awful. Reception staff embarrassed and disinterested - hardly surprising in the circumstances. Appalling way to treat customers.

A Good hotel but under serious renovation

Arrival & check-in went well and the upgrade was much appreciated. It's a bit disappointing that there isn't a separate lounge area and the public seating in the lobby was very worn! The meal was excellent with plenty of choice on the "a la carte". We chose to have the set-menu and were very pleased.

Good for our dog

Because of renovation work, restrained to eat in our room with only one proper chair between us. Tasty food though. Excellent local walks in the woods for the dog, good security. Lack of phone/tablet charge points in newly renovated room astounding.

Excellent stopover

Easy to find, friendly welcome. Room was modern and spacious with a good bed and bathroom. Nice location, forest walk and a couple of restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was great, variety and fresh.
