On my arrival the receptionist spoke to me in an unprofessional manner. My personal credit card authorization didn't work and the situation seemed funny to him. The solution he found for this situation was to debit the company credit card for my stay in advance, without informing us about it (my manager and / or me). We learned about it only during our checkout. Then my key card didn't work and I had to go back to the reception once again to get a new one. Once in the room, I noticed a big spot on the carpet, looked like from red wine. I called the reception to inform them and ask for someone to come and clean it the next day (it was late in the evening). The receptionist confirmed he would send someone next day in the morning but until the end of my stay nobody came to clean it. The AC also seemed to be broken and it was very cold in the room even though I put the temperature on max. Nobody fixed it during the whole stay. The receptionist who did our checkout was disagreeable and rude. The breakfasts were ok and the receptionist who booked for us the taxis after checkout was professional. I don't think I am too demanding. I worked in hospitality management myself and I am able to appreciate good customer service but most of the reception staff was definitely unprofessional and I think that this hotel doesn't meet the standards of 4 stars hotels in France.

Checking in process receptionist friendly, we was then advised oh you Have a privilege room!! I never asked for one !!! and to find the price was different from what was qouted !!! , and then wanting to add injury to insult, she wanted to charge me another 40 euros for 2 breakfasts !!! I think NOT !! We declined the breakfasts!!! We headed up to our room. Firstly, the room had an overpowering sickly smell of airfreshner !!! If this was a privilege room 😳😳😳 small, to say the least !!! Towelling bathrobe and slippers !! Dosn't quite cut it !!! ! god knows what size a standed room must be like then !! , Kettle didn't work ..so wanted to ring down to reception to advise ! No contact reception number obvious!! TV Information is not working ! My point was that this was bad enough ! But if you were unwell and needed help in an emergency, how could you ring to get help quickly !! We Was told if they could find another kettle, they would bring it up !!! 😳 really, that is how you treat your guests!!! Food okish.... So NO, we won't be staying here again ☹️☹️☹️..

I really enjoyed my stay with Mercure Orly Rungis. The hotel was a really calm, clean and pleasant place. I could tell that the room that I was in had been remodeled and that it was well cleaned. The outside of the hotel was also interesting - like a bee hive motif. Breakfast was also very good. Interesting unique offering was little pans to make my own fried egg. Yum. Ikrem (not sure if I spelled her name right) was helpful and friendly from the first call in from Orly. She gave me advice on the airport shuttle pickup. Then, at the hotel, she was kind enough to provide a wonderful, clean and neat Eiffel Tower view room! Since this was our last night in France, this was a really fun and memorable finale! Thank you, and see you next time.
