Rooms were too hot so impossible to sleep

The rooms and facilities were good, easy to park and in a quiet part of town. However there was a problem with the air-conditioning and / or heating and it was impossible to cool down the room. We had the window open for most of the night and it was still impossibly hot. We asked the manager if the aircon could be turned on, but he simply told us it didn't work. The bed and pillows were too hard for us.

Needs Updating

Room was small, carpet was dirty, old fixtures and fittings, needs refurbishment. Air conditioning was turned off so guests have no control. The hair dryer did not work and staff had to bring one. I expected better at a Novotel.

Good old property with bad service

I was not expecting such lame experience. The property has very basics missing like body lotion (in winters), shoe shine (central machine broken and no small shoe shine pads), hair conditioner, shaving kit (the front desk person had to spend time finding one third grade kit which resulted in a bloody affair), room slippers, robe .. none none none… the list is empty. The room carpet looks ancient and may have give n me the allergy I had the next day I landed here. Restaurant had hardly any vegetarian options, one dish mentioned vegetarian had shrimp as I learnt from the staff ( Accor team, are you family run or professionally managed?). The pizza I got was industrial one and needed a saw than a table knife. From next day, I refrained as the attendant was somehow making me feel uncomfortable with his uncaring attitude like I am here for a free meal. I stayed in couple of more novotels and mercury hotels in other cities and France was expected to be a plus as their home turf but looks like they don’t care. hospitality was the one thing that I was hoping but was missing. Overall, I committed a mistake, should have looked for reviews as this property is only good for its location, else it’s just a no service motel. The breakfast spread was micro, no less sugar/no sugar options, coffee machine uses dry milk and mostly was empty on milk,
