Do not book this hotel I did and when I turned up was told it had been sold and i should have been emailed. It was late and was told to go and find another hotel The staff were vile and were not interested in helping me I hope Ibis remove their franchise

TERRIBLE HAVING PRE BOOKED & PAYED FOR 2 NIGHTS STAY AT IBIS HOTEL OLDBURY WE WERE MEET BY STAFF WHO RUSHED TO TELL US THE HOTEL WAS CLOSED TOLD THEM WE HAD RESERVATIONS . CLAIMED TO HAVE E MAILED . NO E MAIL RECIEVED. LEFT IN LURCH DISGUSTED.

I would strongly advise against using this despicable hotel. I booked a room for two on 20/07/2023 for a two day stay on 20/09/2023. When we arrived at the hotel car park a staff member came out and informed us that the hotel was closed and that I had been informed of this and had been refunded. I hadn’t been informed or received a refund. After arguing with her and demanding a refund, I realised I was getting nowhere and had to go and find somewhere else to stay quickly as the staff member I was arguing with was just grinning and smirking at me. This two day trip was supposed to be for my wife and I to attend my son’s wedding, Ibis destroyed our once in a lifetime opportunity….Absolutely gutted

Room as expected, could do with a slightly wider desk to work at but ok for one night. Very hot and the air cooling system seemed to be pretty random - did not work all night and then suddenly turned on in the morning. Food actually OK, better then the Holiday Inn Express across the road. Great shame the gym is closing, I will be unlikely to use this hotel in the future

Absolutely fuming with the staff on duty early hours of this morning (Friday 8th September) Made a booking yesterday and paid up front for one of my engineers who would be working into the small hours and needed somewhere close to get his head down before driving again. Check out time was not until midday so would have given him a solid 7-8 hours but when he arrived in the early hours of this morning, the very rude and unhelpful person on duty refused to check him in. We are now £75 down (small problem) and an engineer has now had to drive to another hotel across Birmingham (bigger problem) who quite happily offered him a room at 5 a.m. Yes we are now another £50 down, but at least he is safe and resting now. There is absolutely no reason to refuse check in to a room that is booked and paid for regardless of the time if you are staffed 24/7. Disgusted.
