No comments. Almost everything was perfect. Restaurant with breakfast. Room silently. Welcome room. Free drink at the entrance. The only negative point is the high value of the parking wallet, 55 dollars.

Complete Nightmare

Birthday trip ruined by a hotel that I had stayed at over a dozen times, even in other cities. Never again. I was not informed of a large renovation project that has closed the lobby and the front entrance. I'm staying at a 4 star hotel, I was excited for room service. Nope, no one answers phone. I don't even know how I'm going to get out of the hotel, there's no way out except a weird side door. How do I get out of there and get an uber with all my bags? My phone is broken, my TV is broken, my tub is broken, there's no fridge except a mini fridge that no one has refilled. My room was cleaned once, otherwise by me. I have had a better experience at a Holiday Inn.

Worst Return Experience

I had previously stayed at Sofitel Philadelphia around 6 years back. As I could recall, it was a great experience then, and the location was just perfect, hence the return booking this time. I even went to book for the Suite option for even better trip this time. However, much more was to be expected. The hotel is under rennovation, which had been communicated via email prior to the arrival, so I did not mind going to the second floor for check-in. It was annoying to have the front door not working properly at the hotel entrance though — the door could not open automatically some mornings, and the staff (when noticed), had to manually pushed the door for the guests to come out. The furniture at the “make-shift” reception room was old and tired - I would recommend a change, especially for such a first impression. On my first day, when I entered the first given room, I had to run back down to reception asking for a different room — it was raked with marijuana smoke! As a healthcare professional, thay was unimaginable! I was quickly switched to a room, but also to note I was not provided any information on hotel amenities by the check-in staff at all. I found the person behind the texting answering service (Mera) to be more helpful. On my second day, after returning from a long work day, I came to find my room not having been serviced. No trash taken out, no sheets changed, no refill of water. I had not placed a “Do Not Disturbed” sign, so I did not know why the room was not serviced. Unfortunately, it was after hours so I was only able to receive sheets and towels to change. Overall, I found this visit very disappointing. I hope with the remodel being done, the staff will be more attentive and deliver great service.

Het onthaal was zeer hartelijk, de service zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en lekker. De inrichting van de kamer beetje ouderwets, maar de kamer was zeer ruim en het slaapcomfort uitstekend (verbleven op een kamer met twee tweepersoonsbedden). Goede bedden, prima verduistering en geen lawaaihinder. Hebben zeker waar voor ons geld gekregen.
