Lovely place but just needs better attention to details

I've stayed here several times now, attending conferences. It is really a nice place but it's just the little things that let it down. Examples from my most recent stay; Lipstick on the glass at breakfast. Stains on the curtains in room, that are lit up in the morning sun. And when trying to catch a cockroach in my room (not your fault they come in under door and it was raining), but I decided to use the waste paper bin to turn it upside down and trap cockroach under it. So I took out the empty plastic garbage bag to just use the empty bin, when to my horror the rubbish from the last person in the room was still in the bin, take away food rubbish, and housekeeping have just put a new bag over it, that was pretty gross. Just little things, but one after another they just spoil your stay. Oh and the broken pebblecrete paths are horrible to try and roll your suitcases on. Also, Room service was unavailable the one time I wanted to use it on a Sunday afternoon.

The resort was lovely - the only issue for me was that my room cards stopped working twice - I had to get them re issued and it was very inconvenient, and the room was a distance from the reception. Also I would like to have bottled water in the rooms, it wasn't obviously where I could get this.

It was teh first time we stayed in the Sunshine Coast, we loved the location, just felt that the rooms were in need of an update the lighting was poor the room did not reflect a 4. 5 star hotel
