Overnight stay prior to cruise

For the most part it was a lovely stay as usual. But in our package we had a cocktail each. ON arrival we were advised that the hacienda bar was closed and the drink could be recouped in Q dining. It would have been nice to have had an email to advise of the closure of the bar as I was looking forward to sipping a cocktail in there, and there would not have been expectations. At dinner I tried to use the cocktail voucher and was advised it could only be redeemed in the bar. I explained it was closed, and was told to redeem it at Q dining. Eventually we were able to have our cocktail. Better communication by staff would have been great to advise of redemptions. Also, it was not acknowledged that we were part of accor plus and no upgrade as a platinum member. Although the room overlooking the botanical gardens is also lovely. WE did get a welcome gift of some lovely cakes. Overall a lovely stay. Special mention to the staff member who did the luggage. He was helpful and welcoming.
