Great Service - 5 Star Hotel

My GF & I stayed in the "Prestige Suite" at the Sofitel. Hotel is modern and facilities very nice & clean. Roof top bar is worth visiting for the beautiful views. Close to many variety of restaurants & bars nearby. Very safe location as it is in an upscale area, directly next to the US embassy and the hotel itself has ample security. But the most important thing that made this hotel stand out was the service. The "Concierge Team" - Claudia, Gustavo, Max & Vanessa, were outstanding. They were able to arrange all my restaurant reservations & experiences which range from the famous "Pujol" restaurant to a private hot air balloon experience. The rest of the Hotel staff members from check-in (with a welcome chocolate drink) to the restaurant/bar workers & security were accommodating and always friendly. Definitely a great place to stay if you are in CDMX whether for business or pleasure!

We visited Mexico City for the first time and were delighted we selected the Sofitel Reforma. The location was great to take Uber Blacks to our tourist spots and the staff were so kind to ensure the drivers located the entrance of the hotel. I regret that I did not have cash on hand to properly tip all of the staff that were so welcoming during our stay.

The staff are wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond the norm to make sure the guest experience is supreme. For instance, they unexpectedly gave us more surprises than we could have imagined: bunny dolls for our 2 girls, cold chocolate drinks and a special salsa tasting from the Chef Juan Jose at Balta, their 12th floor restaurant. This special culinary treat was thoughtfully organized by 2 of their wonderful star staff Gina and Sofia. They radiate and exude the friendly warmth of the best of Mexican hospitality. According to my 9 year old, this hotel is "not a 5 star hotel, it's a million star!" Other highlights include: indoor swimming pool, high rise balcony bar, close proximity to the US embassy, parks, museums, vibrant restaurants.

Our stay at the Sofitel Mexico City Reforma was a delight! I have never experienced better service at a hotel. We were unsure of our plans, too we booked the room rather late and didn't really have a good plan for our time while in Mexico City. I reached out to the concierge staff (Gustavo, Claudia, & Maximillano), who helped me craft and itinerary for the week that included so many wonderful experiences in the city (museums, restaurants, destinations, transportation) and set us up with an extraordinary city tour guide (César) for the week. We sprung for the upgrade to have access to Club Millésime and have zero regrets about it. What a delightful spot (with a great view) to have breakfast every morning and staffed with the friendliest people I've encountered in a hotel situation. We were in town to see the last night of Madonna's Celebration tour, and the Club staff actually made a Madonna collage frame for us as a way to commemorate our experience. I've never had hotel staff craft for me before. We're so grateful to Natalia, Laura, Fernanda, and Armando for starting each of our days with a smile. The rooftop bar, Cityzen, is a great space for drinks and small bites with a beautiful view of the city. We'll definitely stay at Sofitel again when we come back to Mexico City.
