Poor service, dirty dining

414cassandrat Couples - TripAdvisor review

No parking, as wedding and event. No soap in bathrooms. Bar area filthy wasn't cleaned after lunch service. Bar service was very slow. At dinner, plates were removed when we were still eating. very loud band planing outside our room (that weren't told about) playing until 11pm and were unable to sleep. On checkout we found that happy hour cocktails where only one particular cocktail, which we were not informed about when ordering our drinks. Car was parked in when we left.

Disappointing in every way

Upon check in I was greeted with abruptness, a stern "ID and credit card please" was announced! I passed over my info, a minute later I was handed back my credentials and a key card to the room with another announcement "elevator is behind you". No explanation of the hotel facilities, no word on breakfast which I had booked, no nothing, standing in the foyer contemplating what just happened. Upon arrival to my room "429" I was greeted with a COMPLETELY BLOCKED WINDOW VIEW from the suite I had booked, a black metal roof with a maintenance door was only a few meters from the window blocking all natural light and any possible views. I had returned to reception to explain that I was extremly dissatisfied with the room they had assigned, they responded with "sorry can't do anything about it, we are fully booked" I asked a few questions in relation to why I was not informed when I booked the room that it had no view? If I knew up front I would have booked elsewhere but now I have no choice in the matter, too late to book anywhere else and cannot get a satisfactory room at the current establishment. The room itself was not up to standard, greasy hand prints on the glass sliding doors is unacceptable, the rest of the room was satisfactory. Manager had contacted me and offered a small discount, in all honesty it makes no difference, I have no problem in paying what I booked, I just expect to receive that amount in return. On this occasion that was not the case, even with the discount there was no value. Had to request breakfast information from reception as we had no clue to as what time breakfast was open and where it was held. So we were informed of the time and we wandered around to find the dining room, hot buffet breakfast itself was sub par and cold, I really have nothing more to say about breakfast, just bad. All in all this must be my worst hotel experience ever, not to mention this is supposed to be a 5 star establishment! Staff - unfriendly, not interested Room with no view - totally unacceptable Breakfast - just bad
