Review of Tre Restaurant at Banyan Tree Phuket During my recent visit to Phuket, I had the opportunity to dine at Tre restaurant, nestled within the Banyan Tree resort. The restaurant boasts a picturesque setting with a charming ambiance, making it an initially promising dining experience. Unfortunately, the culinary aspect of Tre did not live up to the aesthetic allure. The food was a significant letdown, with poorly executed dishes that seemed to lack a coherent understanding of how ingredients should synergize. The Iberian ham, for instance, was a far cry from what one might expect. Rather than being succulent and rich, it was served dry and crunchy, stripping away the delicacy’s inherent qualities. Similarly, the smoked duck, which should be tender and flavor-packed, resembled more of a Parma ham both in thickness and texture. Our concerns were raised with the staff, and while they initially agreed to remove the unsatisfactory starters from our bill, this adjustment was not reflected in the final charge. It was disappointing to have to request corrections on the bill for dishes that were clearly not up to standard. Further dining experiences within other establishments run by the Banyan Tree mirrored the lackluster quality of Tre, suggesting a broader issue with the chain's culinary offerings in the region. For those looking for a truly delightful dining experience in Phuket, I would recommend exploring local restaurants outside of this chain, where the quality and value are considerably better. In conclusion, while Tre scores high on location and decor, its culinary execution and customer service unfortunately leave much to be desired. Diners might consider other dining venues to ensure a satisfying meal. If you do decide to visit this venue, don't forget to check your bill.

pool bar crews are kind and i am satisfied with their service - tiffy, o, pang, men, wut, ton etc in this phuket area i recommebd this house at first their very lovely and all the facilities are very cool and nice and especially fitnesscenter and breakfast i want to revisit this hotel soon

I am very happy with my birthday stay at Banyan Tree Phuket. They prepared lots of wonderful surprises from room upgrade, complimentary cakes(yes not just one but two) to wine and cheese. Thank you to Chef Xavier for welcoming us and for the sumptuous buffet dinner served. Thank you to Nick for the surprise cake and making sure we are having a great time and enjoying our food. Thank you to GM - Khun Sittichai for saying hello to our table. It was a wonderful Songkran experience and highly recommend.

We stayed at Banyan Tree Phuket for 4 nights in a double pool villa, as a family of four (kids are 7 & 11). The master bedroom is surrounded by a pool which looks gorgeous and we used sparingly, and the main pool in the villa is a decent length with a plunge pool /jacuzzi. The kids played there are a lot whilst we chilled inside in the living room with AC or in the side pavilion with shade (and fan) We were looked after during our stay by our concierges Nadia and Art. Both were exceptionally friendly and helpful, helping us book things and taking us to the lobby in the buggy. Art also helped me source some water guns for the Songkran festival, and the kids enjoyed water fights amongst us and with some hotel staff members. The in room dining we received was exceptional. They have wooden lids on their round ceramic containers which feels better than everything being cling filmed, and we had their surf and turf twice and kids had nuggets/fries and pizza. Kids menu were really reasonably priced, 250thb about £5; we have paid silly money for plain pasta at other hotels so appreciate not being fleeced here. The quality and price of in room dining in general was decent and we felt we received good value. The villa was bigger than we expected to be honest. Bedding wonderful, showers powerful. There were enough power points everywhere apart from maybe by the bed, but we did have an extension cord with us. We had the floating breakfast too on the last day - we didn’t realise breakfast was included and we paid 1000thb delivery charge (about £25). Always worth having if you have a private pool. The boat trip they organised for us was brilliant (have written a separate review), and we have to say all the staff we encountered were really friendly and smiley. Oh, the spa was also gorgeous. I was half an hour late (just on holiday brain) and rushed there with apologies and they still fitted me in for the full 90 minutes. It was super relaxing due to the surroundings and fantastic masseuse. The kickboxing class was also worth having. It’s 1000thb to take part in a group class and the instructor was fun and knowledgeable. We didn’t really experience the main pool but saw they have a nice bar there. We also went kayaking (free, just book it the day before) and had a little paddle around the facilities. We didn’t even have time to see the beach but we figured it was fine as we spent a day island hopping. We really wanted to enjoy the villa and get a mixture of relaxation and activities Taxi to/from airport were big air conditioned mini vans, and we were met by someone at banyan tree at Phuket airport who helped us with luggage’s and to check in.

From the moment we arrived at the Banyan Tree the service was absolutely top class. The staff were friendly and attentive and couldn’t do more for you. We stayed in a two bedroom Signature Villa and it was fabulous. We had plenty of space and the pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. The area is very nice in Laguna with a free shuttle us to travel around the local area. We also enjoyed visiting some of the beach clubs on Bang Tao beach which is a short walk from the resort.
