Fabulous, most enjoyable

We had a 2 bedroom pool view room. It was very spacious but not to big. Good sized fridge. Clean and nicely furnished. Beds were extremely comfortable and overnight was quiet enough for sleeping. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

Good location right on the beach. Rooms are clean and spacious however some areas show aging. Choices for breakfast buffet could be better.

PROS: palm cove is a great area, with lots of cute restaurants and shops; staff are very friendly. CONS: there was NO internet in our room, we had to go to the lobby to check our email or check into our flight; the food services were rarely open and difficult to access. We tried to eat at the restaurant three times. The first time it was almost an hour prior to the stated closing time, but we were told that we could not be seated because the kitchen was closing and we could not place an order. The next time we showed up shortly after the restaurant opened for dinner (so that we wouldn’t be turned away for being too late), this time, with about four other parties dining at the restaurant, we were told we could not be seated because a large party was coming and there was not sufficient seating (at first we thought the host was joking because there were so many tables available). The last time we tried to eat there for breakfast, but showed up too early (service didn’t start until 7AM, which is way too late if you’re planning any excursions in the area). We booked the hotel for the pool/swim up bar. The pool is amazing, but when we tried to order drinks at the pool bar, we were turned away because they were too busy. Then, when we came back over an hour prior to the stated closing time, they said they were closing early, even though the pool was still busy and lots of people would have continued ordering drinks. The pool was (understandably) very busy, lots of children and young families. For couples looking for a calm/relaxing vacation, stay elsewhere. But this hotel would be great for families who are not planning on eating at the hotel and who do not need WiFi.

Loved everything about this stay. Our family of three. Could have stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Instead of the penthouse. Due to a strange set of circumstances they can’t sell what looks like a 2 bedroom space as such. They call it a 1 bedroom. Due to some legislation in qld. But other than that it’s been a great holiday pools restaurant accom staff. Couldn’t fault anything.
