ok for one night stay

I arrived to the hotel at approx. 18:00pm, checked in, I was allocated a room on the 2nd floor, when I got out of the elevator the corridor stunk of tobacco and weed. The room was extra small, which for a solo traveller is ok, I suppose. I was planning on having a shower and washing my hair, but to my surprise there was no hair dryer in the room. I headed down to the restaurant area and this is when things got "interesting". I went to order food: roasted chicken. The waitress advises the chicken will take at least 45-50 minutes to be ready. So I ended up ordering the battered cod and chips because she said it would be ready faster. When the dish came out it looked appetising and well presented, but to my surprise when I cut a piece of the fish and went to eat it, it had a very strong ammonia smell. I thought it might be me, so I cut another piece and it was exactly the same, discreetly raised this with the waitress that served me and she said it is normal for it to smell like that. I did advise to her that ammonia smell on cod is a sign of it being spoilt and eventually she agreed to change the dish, I ended up ordering a salad with chargrilled chicken, this took 35 mins to come out. I finally ordered dessert, which once again took approx. 35 mins to come out. So overall I think I spent almost 2h there for a main and a dessert. I had been to this hotel previously and had a similar issue with another dish, the padron peppers were mouldy. So I would definitely avoid eating here. Back to the room, the bed was comfy and couldn't here much noise during the night, so that's a positive.

Good location for those visiting Nottingham or working away from home

This hotel is in a decent location and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I use the hotel regularly while working away. The gym is small but ok and the swimming pool and sauna is great after a hard days work.

We checked in late around 10, reception staff were really nice, explained everything from breakfast to checkout time. The rooms are nice and clean, also parking is on site with a charge I will definately come back in the future.

Beautiful hotel, bed was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. It was decorated for me as it was my birthday which was so nice to walk in to. The best service we’ve ever received. Mykhailo, Tibor and John made us feel so welcome, they were so friendly and bubbly. Made sure we had everything we needed/wanted, it was my 21st birthday and Mykhailo asked the chef to make me a birthday dessert which was so lovely for him to do :) The food we had was very nice too We will definitely be back, thank you for the great experience!

Good stay, room had everything needed, quite a small room, nice soap etc, big bed, pillows and mattress could do with upgrading and curtains don’t block out all light (needed to be bigger) so this effected sleep. Overall clean and good stay.
