Service was good, except for the bar, where I was largely ignored on a number of occasions whilst staff watched football on the TVs.

Very Satisfied with my stay. Rooms are ok but carpets seem worn out. Breakfast options limited for a vegetarian like me.

I arrived at about 2AM and went to pull into a space in front of the hotel. The receptionist came out and tried giving directions but didn't seem to understand how cars steer and steered me into the kerb. Not a disaster but irritating. He then checked me in and made no reference to my gold status or any of the benefits this may entail. Whilst he wasn't rude it was just a little offhand. The room was OK but not as good as previous stays and overall the whole feel is that the hotel is not as well maintained as I remember it. I will still stay again but will be checking other options in the future.

Feels more like a three star, but the staff try hard

Firstly, location is pretty good. It's quiet, easy enough to find, and convenient for the tram. There are lots of places for breakfast in the immediate vicinity, which were good, and several restaurants, which were less impressive. Beds were comfortable, water pressure good in the showers, but the place had a careworn feel, with stained carpets, plenty of scuffs and scratches, on the whole, a hotel that's seen better days. Seemed to be plenty of tour groups. I don't feel it was expensive, all things considered, but that depends on what sort of deal you get. OK value for money. I think the staff tried hard, so credit where credit's due. I had a few things I needed their help with, during my stay, and they always delivered.
