War schon öfters in den letzten Jahren in diesem Ibis Hotel. Leider musste ich feststellen, dass es mittlerweile sehr in die Jahre gekommen ist. Man merkt es an der abgewohnten Ausstattung. schmuddelige Teppiche in den Treppenhäusern und Fluren. Das Zimmer war Ibis untypisch OHNE Klimaanlage. An einem Wochenende mit über 30 Grad fast ein NoGo. Hinzu kommt das dieses Hotel am Paderwall einer der Hauptstraßen Paderborns liegt, diese Straße wird bis weit in die Nacht von Autoposern genutzt, die Motoren aufheulen lassen, laute Auspuffanlagen haben und gnadenlos rasen. Aufgrund der Hitze habe ich trotzdem das Fenster offen gelassen in der Hoffnung schlafen zu können. Aber zu dem Lärm der Straße kam auch noch das grelle gelbe Licht der Straßenlaternen, so dass es unmöglich war in diesem Zimmer Ruhe zu finden. Zur Zimmerausstattung, ungewöhnlich das es Steckdosen nur unten am Boden gibt, nicht an den Nachttischen wie sonst üblich. Das Fernsehprogramm war auch sehr lückenhaft. Viele frei empfangbare Programme waren nicht vorhanden und mussten übersprungen werden. Dusche sehr klein und man konnte sich kaum drehen um die Türe zu schließen. Frühstück am Morgen war soweit okay und umfangreich, aber ich habe den Bacon den es üblicherweise zu den Rühreiern gibt, vermisst. Nach dieser wirklich schlechten Nacht habe ich völlig unausgeschlafen dieses Hotel nach dem Frühstück verlassen.

Allerdings bemängeln Sie viele Sachen, die Ihnen bereits bekannt sind. Wie fehlende Klimaanlage, die Lage des Hotels an der Hauptsraße und die baulichen Gegebenheiten. Die Renovierung ist geplant. Das Ibis Hotel Paderborn City liegt sehr günstig, direkt an der Innenstadt und gut vom Bahnhof zu erreichen. Von meinem Besuch möchte ich die durchgehend sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter hervorheben.

Receptionist spoke English and recommended us a local restaurant to eat. Parking was secure underground. Bar was open. Room was great. Sleep was good even looking over the main road, bed was comfortable & room was clean. Breakfast was buffet style.

Staff is friendly and the location is good But no way to control the temperature on your room You can open a window, but because its next to a hospital the sound of ambulances will wake you up. Breakfast is good

The receptionist when we arrived was quite friendly and patient when I couldn’t understand how 67.50 incl child breakfast became 81.00 after applying a discount. Took a little while to get to sleep because the bedding had such a stench that I had t ask for them to be changed, which was done. The the room is very small and the bed is uncomfortable and after tossing and turning for hours, finally fell asleep only to be woken at 4.a. m. by a sound that sounded like people dragging furniture across the floor outside our door. It turned out to be noise from road construction outside because they’d left the windows and all connecting doors open. Breakfast could not have been more basic. Despite banners offering late checkout, when I asked, I was told it wasn’t possible as they are fully booked today. While searching for another hotel to move to, I couldn’t help noticing that Ibis hotel Paderborn city had lots of rooms available today. The daytime receptionist obviously just didn’t like my face😄I’ll give this place a wide birth henceforth and advice others to stay away. Waste
