Worst customer service ever, the staff talked to us like we are criminal. defective room with no repairs offered, take it or leave it kind if situation. The breakfast restaurant was understaffed (kudos to the staff) and waited 20mins to be seats (after lining up)

Good hotel but loud street music at night.

This was a good hotel experience. Nice room, good front desk service, excellent club facilities. However, street music was loud and soundproofing poor. This kept us up until well after midnight when the music stopped. Apart from that the hotel is good and well located in central Melbourne.

Taxis können das Hotel nicht direkt anfahren, sie werden vor einem MERCURE-Hotel abgesetzt, dessen Mitarbeiter Ihnen sehr freundlich helfen. Ein zweiter Eingang existiert, ist von Taxis aber nicht anfahrbar. Die Rezeption erreichen sie über einen übel riechenden Hinterhof am MERCURE vorbei (Foto) und landen zuletzt mit ihrem Gepäck vor einer Treppe (Foto) zur Rezeption. Empfangspersonal existiert nicht. (5 Sterne? NEIN!) Die Rezeption ist meist nur von 1 Person besetzt. Oft steht eine Warteschlange. Eine „Guest Relation Managerin“ ist offenbar nicht in der Lage zu helfen. Das Personal selbst ist gegenüber Problemen ignorant. (5 Sterne? NEIN!) Alle 3 Lifte dienen stark frequentiert der Beförderung von Handwerkern, Essen, Reinigungspersonal und Reinigungsutensilien, jeder 2. Lift ist von Personal besetzt, der Gast muß warten. Frühstück gibt es auf Etage „M“, aber nur ein Fahrstuhl fährt auf diese Etage. Die Tische waren nicht abgeräumt und nicht gesäubert, Geschirr war schmutzig und das Besteck wurde vom Personal mit den Händen angefaßt. Man wird nicht gefragt, wo man sitzen möchte, sondern zwischen dreckiges Geschirr platziert. Ein Kaffeeautomat ist ohne umständliche Einweisung nicht zu verstehen. Gemüse kennt man hier nicht. Wenn man einen Kaffee möchte, soll man diesen extra bezahlen!!!? (5 Sterne? Nein!) Wir haben ab Tag 2 im Cafe um die Ecke unser Frühstück eingenommen. Was dieses Hotel unter „Aussicht“ versteht können sie sich auf einem weiteren Foto ansehen. Das Zimmer roch „abgestanden“. Die Toilette hatte zu wenig Druck, um Fäkalien richtig zu spülen. Das Wasser im Waschbecken lief nicht richtig ab. Nach wiederholter Bitte um Reparatur geschah diese nach 3 Tagen! (5 Sterne? NEIN!) Der Reinigungsservice kam nie vor 14:00 Uhr. Nur an der Hälfte der Tage war die Reinigung akzeptabel. An den anderen Tagen wurde nur das Bett gemacht. (5 Sterne? NEIN!) Die Fenster besitzen keinerlei Dämmung gegen Sonnenlicht und Lärm! Die Klimaanlage ist schwach...

This hotel falls far short of a 5-star experience, especially considering the hefty price tag of over $300 per night. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a frustratingly long wait of over 20 minutes just to check in. With only 2 check-in desks available, it was evident that the staff were not adequately trained, and the absence of management was notable. When I inquired about grabbing a late lunch within the hotel premises, I was informed that all the restaurants were closed. However, I couldn't help but notice an elevator advertisement stating the rooftop bar was open. Upon bringing this to the attention of the Bar Manager, he didn't seem surprised and simply thanked me for letting him know about the miscommunication. During the check-in process, they conveniently forgot our 'Welcome Drink' as Accor Members, initially claiming we were not eligible. It wasn't until I showed proof on the Accor App that they acknowledged their oversight and provided the drink. Overall, the check-in experience was lackluster and far from welcoming, which was disappointing considering the reputation one would expect from a Pullman property. Moving on to the room, it was pleasant, well-presented, and impeccably clean. Kudos to the Housekeeping team for their excellent work. The only suggestion would be the pillows, which could use an upgrade, but otherwise, the room was faultless. The Rooftop Bar team, on the other hand, delivered good service with excellent drinks, although the food menu was somewhat limited. The pizzas, however, were a standout. Room service meals were enjoyable and reasonably priced, but the addition of a $10 tray charge seemed excessive. Upon checkout, the underwhelming experience continued. There was no inquiry about our stay or any pleasantries exchanged. It was a straightforward, "Are you happy for me to charge your credit card?" When I requested to see the bill and mentioned my preference to pay by EFTPOS, I was wrongly informed that it would still incur a credit card surcharge. I promptly corrected this misinformation, stating that their system should indeed differentiate between a Visa Debit Card and a credit card. While I understood this was not the receptionist's fault (and explained this to her), it once again contributed to an overall disappointing stay. Considering the price we paid, I find it unlikely that we'll return to this hotel in the future.

A fantastic inner city stay

The hotel sits down an inner city Melbourne alleyway, just off Little Bourke Street. It’s close to all the key attractions and shops. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The rooftop bar Blossom produced some of the best pizza that we’ve ever had. Every staff member we encountered was professional and authentic. So nice to see a hotel that recruits and trains great people.
