The hotel is located adjacent to a lovely park and is a short walk to the old port. The facilities were excellent and we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast was also very good.

We were just staying one night while driving up (me and 2 children), so carparking, and an easy location to get food were the most important. Finding the hotel, parking and check-in were super easy. A couple of little things - we were on the 5th floor, and the afternoon we arrived, the lift door was wedged open with a chair so that after waiting for a while we decided to walk down (not a problem, we're all able-bodied and going down is easy), and still wedged open after we'd been for a walk down to the harbour, to a local shop, and around the zoo (so for at least 45 mins), so we had to walk up as well. There were only two (lid-less, looking less than 100% clean) carafes for water on our level, it would be nice to keep those available In the morning of our departure, someone opened the door without knocking 3 times, when I said 'hello' they just shut the door again without saying anything - this was odd, knocking, or waiting until we checked out would be better.
