The hotel rooms are in decay, outdated. Ants issues in bathroom

First impression was any lack of renovation (likely in the last 30years) besides some furniture. My room even had a plastic sink that I haven't seen since the 80's in public hospital rooms. The paint on the doors and door frames was flaking and basically breaking every time, dirtying the floor. Later on, I discovered the empty spot where a hotel fridge used to be, but obviously it died time ago and was not replaced. Funny enough, other rooms, where my colleagues were staying, had the said fridge in the room, and even juice was refreshed every day for them. Then, the worst experience started with the ants issue on the bedroom. After 3 days of my stay, large number of ants stater to appear over the sink and next to the bathtube. Even after removing them with some paper and water, they will just appear in some hours, in the morning or when I was coming back from work. Pictures and video was shared with receptionist to see that it was not just 3 or 4 ants walking around but a whole "cloud" of moving ants all around. They offered to move me to another room, but it didn't make sense to pack and move all my stuff for 1 night left. I am not afraid of insects but this is far from any experience I have experienced in any business stay hotel.

Loved our stay at this property..exactly the kind we were looking for.

We were here for 3 nights and our experience at this property was very satisfactory. It is a no frill, very confortable, with all the basic ameneties you would wish for. The room is spacious, cozy, clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful. The parking space is huge and share the shared facility of the EV charging is very convenient. It is not to close to major tourist locations - which helps this property to stay away from crowd and noise; and yet not to far feok the major destinations like Cannes, Antibes, St. Tropez, Manoco. It was very convenient to reach this property at any time of the day, with no traffic troubles on the way. Carrefour is just a couple of miles away just in case you need anything at your disposal. We prefer quiet, comfortable, clean, laid back, yet convenient stay and this was exactly that. We would like to recommend this property if you share similar interest.

I was locked out of the property late at night. I didn't have a code for the gate and no-one was answering the phone or the entry bell for 15 mins. It was very dark and the only way we finally got in was when someone walked from the hotel into the car park and we shouted for their attention. They went back in and found someone to let us in. When we finally got in the staff apologized but didn't seem to take the issue seriously. There was loud music and we were offered a drink when what we really needed was a toilet and bed! When I checked in, no-one pointed out that the gates would be locked after a certain time or to take note of the code. And not having anyone answering the bell for so long is inexcusable.

3 Star not 4 star hotel - the website is not a true representation at all

So firstly the good stuff, good carpark, nice reception area, quiet room, fresh water on each floor. Now where to start. This hotel is not 4 star. The items listed on the website are not in the rooms. There are No fridges, No coffee makers, No slippers, No safe and only one single chair in the rooms. There are also No drawers to put stuff in either and the TV does Not work. The staff are not very helpful either and if you complain you are ignored or told it is your fault. We were told we had not booked a four star room... I actually had to leave the hotel two days early due to not having certain amenities which meant I could not store my vital medicines properly once the hot weather came. It was hard. The pool was closed (no warning) and we were not advised we had access to the sister hotel one. The meals were ordered incorrectly and we gave up complaining (eg one of our sons ordered fries and was given mashed potato and the child dessert was charged as extra instead of included). We queried this and it was sorted but it was another thing. I have stayed in so many Mercures and Accor branded hotels over the years and this was the most disappointing. It is a shame as with a few tweaks and some staff training it is not difficult to sort these issues - one simple way would be to update the website and the amenities shown and also list as a 3 not 4 star hotel which is an accurate representation.
