We had a 1 night stay on our way to Hobbiton. The room on 4th floor was very clean and comfortable and met all our requirements. The bar and restaurant on site were great, and there were 3 restaurants right across the road. The staff were all very pleasant, particularly the guy on the bar who was so warm, friendly and hospitable, and the breakfast crew also were very kind. Our stay included welcome drinks and buffet breakfast, and overall gave us great value for a family of 4.

Car parking booked and was easy to drop off. Check in was a breeze then headed straight to the restaurant for dinner. Ordered the same as last time salmon dish steak dish breads and dip, outstanding and made even more by the service. I really should get the name of the wonderful kiwi gentleman who seems to run the restaurant as he is always sharp with kiwi humor at making us feel valued. Looking forward to our stay during school holidays.

Good location but expensive for the quality of facility.

Efficient. I thought $38 valet parking was expensive on top of a room rate of $390. should be included in the that price or an alternative offered of self park elsewhere. No soap in the locked in shower soap dispenser. Again, a basic when you are paying a high room price.

I have shared your comments in relation tot he soap in your bathroom with the Executive Housekeeper - and apologise for any inconvenience caused. I do hope that you called down to Reception, or Housekeeping directly to have your soap dispenser refilled. As for parking, there is complimentary self parking on the street alongside the hotel by the riverside, however these are taken on a first come, first served basis. There is also alternative self-parking next door at Sky City, although I believe this is more expensive than our valet parking.
