Francisco was great. Fast and courteous check-in. First time to Chicago and was greeted at the door and shown where to go. Beautiful hotel. beautiful rooms. They really made you feel at home and at ease when traveling so far from home. Seeing the artwork is a big bonus and beautiful.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the 21c Chicago during the EXPO art fair. I wasn’t pleased the first time, but decided to give it another shot because of location and proximity to EXPO events/programming. This stay was nearly as bad as the last. The hotel and rooms are worn and in serious need of a rehab. The beds are bad and need replaced. The furniture is worse than something you’d get from IKEA. The thermostat didn’t work and I was unable to get my room under 70 during my whole stay. The hotel and hallways are dirty. There was trash in the hallway that remained on the floor for two days before someone picked it up. The elevators are old and slow, so there’s almost always a long wait. The front desk folks were nice, but this is a 2-star hotel at best.

Wonderful stay - excellent welcome by Francisco and the rest of the team equally friendly and helpful. Room was great, food from Lure delicious. Location is brilliant. Very sad thatw e had so little time here.
