I stay regularly at the hotel and some rooms are better than others, on this occasion there was a rug in my room which is odd and when I lifted the rug to see what it was hiding there seemed to be blood spatter stains on the carpet. I didn’t complain because I couldn’t be bothered to re pack and change rooms but this isn’t the first time I’ve had what only can be described as a grotty room. I stay for work so thankfully I’m not paying but if I was, I would be disappointed

Firstly I would like to say the staff were lovely and the reception and bar area were very presentable and well maintained. Breakfast was also good with fresh fruit and the fresh yoghurt was delicious. I didnt have and of the cooked food but it looked good and replenished regularly. The issues for me were the restaurant food and the rooms. I have the chicken tikka masala and it was inedible. The chicken was stringy and chewy and clearly very low grade. The rooms are in desperate need of upgrading with a foul smell coming from the toilet and a significant amount of mould in the bath/shower area. The kettle was revolting with mould and stuck on calcium from the water clearly built up over a period of time. I work in close proximity to this hotel and would not stay here again.
