Executive Suite is overpriced for what it is

All staff I contacted were very pleasant, helpful and professional. I stayed in the Executive Suite and was really disappointed. Decor was dated, scuffed and looked like it was from the late 90’s. All of the appliances, amenities and supplied products were identical to a base room, including bathroom products being secured to the wall (in the executive suite??). The Spa was just a regular bath tub with jets in it and the shower and toilet are in seperate cubicles but with the same fixtures and tiling as a normal room. When attempting to order room service, the app failed and I had to ring for assistance. The phone was an early naughties digital job and there was no guidance on how to use it or which numbers got what service. I just dialled 1 on instinct and it got me to reception (I think) There was no menu in the room so I had to wait for the operator to patiently read out the menu to order. I also placed a breakfast order through the app and was questioned about this over the phone (what did I mean by ordering skim milk??) and on arrival by staff (why did I order a mocha and a hot chocolate?) who were unclear on the options I had used in the apps layout. Again I stress staff were very polite but I was dismayed that I had to explain to them how their app works. I paid for a late check out (4pm) and was attempting to get some extra rest but was doorknocked by housekeeping at around 10:30 asking when I was checking out. Again they were very polite but I was disappointed as I felt this is something they should have known from a central booking system or at least they could have checked with reception. All in all not worth the $579 for me - better off just paying for a base room as you are only paying for the extra space, nothing else is different. If anyone from the company is reading this, I would hate for any of the frontline staff to have negative outcomes due to any of this. Again every worker was very pleasant and helpful but there are clearly some system and infrastructure improvements that need to be worked on.

I will also address the team in capturing late departures in the system and to ensure Housekeeping are able to correctly read and adhere to their devices as this data should be there to ensure you are not disturbed. Service was professional and engaging overall. A few minor things such as a meal going to the wrong table and needing to be reordered and a loose connection in the bathroom. Otherwise all good, would stay again.
