Amazing family stay

Great location right on the lake front and perfect location to see the city, bars, restaurants and activities. The hotel restaurant and bar is also really great with a good selection of food and drink on offer. Something for everyone in the family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and very clean. No issues at all. Would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed numerous times over the years at Novotel Lakeside Rotorua It is well located to go to the shops and any water activities because of its proximity to the lake . Also the staff are most obliging and helpful . The restaurant is most convenient and suit our needs very well. Generally has a nice atmosphere . The internal hot pools and gym are an added bonus. Our only complaint has been that we have nearly always booked for a " Lake View " room and paid extra. But a few of these rooms hardly have a lake view unless you go to the corner of the room and look sideways. From the bed and also the lounge seat you just look at, and into, some of the apartments in the adjacent wing. This happened on our recent stay for about the third time. We did not complain because we only had a short stay . We think it is unreasonable to charge extra for these rooms. .Other rooms however have a very pleasant outlook towards the lake.

I booked a sea view room two months ago (paid extra money) and booked a city view room this time, sea view room was well maintained than the recent room (140) !!! the toilet was very old and the showe bath too. May be it over used since it's the cheapest option you have. Anyway, I am happy with the breakfast and swimming pool but not the room.
