We had a 1 night stay on our way to Hobbiton. The room on 4th floor was very clean and comfortable and met all our requirements. The bar and restaurant on site were great, and there were 3 restaurants right across the road. The staff were all very pleasant, particularly the guy on the bar who was so warm, friendly and hospitable, and the breakfast crew also were very kind. Our stay included welcome drinks and buffet breakfast, and overall gave us great value for a family of 4.

I was impressed with the phone call asking if I needed a carpark for the night - well done Improvement's - our room was right beside the smokers area with no view which was a shame. The team member on the till at breakfast was frustrating - he needed some training - thankfully a more experienced team member came to the rescue. Was charged for items I shouldn't have been charged for upon checkout so this took up extra time which was frustrating. One guy on dinner service - didn't catch his name delivered excellent service. Quite a hard case.

We are focused on ensuring we meet all guest expectations, especially those who are our Accor loyalty members, so it was disappointing to read your comments regarding the experiences you had during your stay. I am so sorry that you encountered frustration with delays and some errors at the breakfast service. It's certainly not typical of our usual standard of operation and can only thank you for your patience with our trainees. I also apologise for not being able to offer you a room upgrade on this visit. As you are probably aware, we always try to upgrade our VIP Accor Loyal guests wherever we can, however, unfortunately, the hotel is constrained in being able to offer upgrades when we have high occupancy. I'm sorry we were unable to offer this on your recent visit. Thanks for your comments Steve, please know that the Operations Manager has been made aware of your comments and that we are working on getting it right for our guests each time, so thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. Please accept our sincere apologies. Once again, thank you for your loyalty to Accor and we hope to be of service again at some stage in the near future.
