We've been staying at Novotel Sorocaba since 2019. It's a well located, well maintained and with a nice and relaxed feeling time after time. The rooms are (still) quite contemporary in a cozy and airy way: the "all glass with optional blinds" concept to the shower gives you the option of privacy but at the same time increases A LOT the perception of spaciousness. Also worth mentioned: great breakfast with delicious croissants (thanks, French Accor heritage!) and a constantly wonderful staff. Last Sunday it was all Easter (a couple of girls wearing "rabbit-like-ear shaped accessories" was nice, funny and along with the special touches in eastern decor it brought a big smile to my wife's face!

Clean and Convenient

All was excellent. Valet parking was convenient, room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast was ample. with the hotel across the street from a major shopping center plenty of places to eat with just a short walk.

Great hotel but starts to be rundown

The hotel is still comfortable and generally clean. The location is great with many options of restaurants, cafes and stores in the area. However, parts of the hotel are becoming rundown. The shower heads are old and mainly dirty. The door jambs were broken at the bottom in my room. Breakfast staff is very friendly but the reception staff not so much. They also conveyed little information for the following two situations: My door lock ran out of battery one night, and after reception staff opened the door for me, there was no clear indication of when would be fixed except "in the morning". I was not made aware what time would they fix it and if they would enter my room or not. In the next morning, I had to ask again when the it would be fixed and they were not yet aware if it had been fixed or not, and no additional details were given. The situation was fixed during the day, and I still don't know if my door had to be open or not, exposing my belongings in an unwanted way. A similar situation happened when I requested a laundry bag. There was no laundry bag available in the reception at night and the staff indicated that a bag would be provided to me "in the morning". The next morning, I had to request it to the reception staff again and only upon the emphasis that I had to leave to work soon, a bag was sent to the room. Thus, I believe there is a lot of room for improvement in the way reception staff handles these situations, specially in the way they communicate with the guests.

I absolutely loved my stay at Novotel Sorocaba. The location is fabulous as there are many restaurants in the area, a huge shopping mall across the street, a market and etc. The staff was fabulous. Marco made my stay even more comfortable. He speaks more English and was able to help me find taxis on more than was occasion. He was also extremely patient with me. The receptionists were very helpful and pleasant as well. I do recommend this hotel!
