Room clean and tidy, but no hot water in the evening. Odd room layout with toilet downstairs (no sink) and only a wash basin and shower upstairs. Not the standard I would expect from a 4* hotel.

A bit disappointed by the quality of the hotel

you need to run the water for more than 5 minutes (!!!!) to get hot water, curtains are damaged, sofa bed is dead, parking is extremely narrow. Otherwise, friendly staff, well located and main bed relatively good.

Very enjoyable stay at the Mercure Lille Centre Vieux-Lille! The hotel is fantastically well positioned within the old town. Numerous restaurants and bars very close by but the hotel location is really quiet and calm. The hotel staff were excellent. Our room was comfortable although a shade tired. We would happily return to this hotel!

Well located, clean, good

It was a clean, well located hotel. The staff was professional. Breakfast was ok. What wasn’t so great is that the toilet in our room made weird noises every time we flushed. Shower was small, but I guess this is normal in France. Also the fire alarm just went off on one of the days, I went out and asked one of the staff if it was real or just a drill and she just shrugged.

Well located but needs refurbishing

We stayed one night in this hotel as a family of 4. The room needs proper refurbishing and is too expensive for the condition of the room. The breakfast was more than average, it needs more variety and fresh products (the small crepes and ham were very dry). The hot water in the shower takes a long time to come (like a good 5 minutes), not really acceptable and a waste of water.
